What's happening

We are off to a great start of our fundraising year. All the links to donate are up and running.

We have launched our first T-shirt campaign to raise money for cystic fibrosis. All of you have helped us reach our first goal in 12 days. We have now extended our goal to 100 T-shirts. Let’s get everyone in a T-shirt! If you haven’t bought your shirt yet, buy one today. If you have bought your shirt, keep spreading the word. Get on your friends and family to purchase theirs. We may be adding hoodies to the campaign in the near future.

We are not against gambling to raise money. We launched our first ever Super Bowl squares and raised $500.00 for cystic fibrosis. A huge thank you to Robyn and Joan for their help. Congratulations to our winners: David (first and second quarter) and Cynthia each won $100.00 and Jobby was our $200.00 winner for getting the final score. Thank you to everyone that participated.

We are close to narrowing down our venue for our first cystic fibrosis fundraising event. We are hoping to bring you great music, great cause and fun. Stay tuned as we iron out the details. If you are interested in donating raffle prizes, helping get raffle prizes or putting together raffle baskets, please contact me. To make this a successful event, we need all the help we can get.

Training has started for the first event. Due to a tendon injury, my training came to a quick halt at the end of the year. Those that know me personally, know how difficult this was. Since, I have always been a very new runner, I am basically starting over. I am hoping the mighty Bill Ott (from Geneva Running Outfitters) can get me in shape for these running events. I start back up with him next Saturday. Anyone still interested in running with us at the shamrock shuffle, let me know.

To end today’s blog, I want to thank all of you. Your support in my mission to keep raising money for cystic fibrosis is what keeps me fired up. I can do all the events I want but without you donating, buying T-shirts, spreading the word, sharing our website and Facebook page, we couldn’t do the things we do. I am blessed by the encouragement, friendship and support all of you give me each and every day. Cory is my inspiration and you…. are my momentum. With you, WE WILL DO THIS!
