It's Beginning

I want to start to Thank Erin Devore for her work on this website. She has been many hour and sweat and fustration to this up and working. I also would like to Thank Janet Steffeter. She has been working hard on the flyer to make it look perfect. Excpet to see those soon.

I have been overwelmed on the amount of activity on facebook with out site. THANK YOU! We have almost 500 like in 2 days. I wonderful way to get the cause out and help us rasie some serious money for Cystic Fibrosis.

Currently, we have raised $350.00 dollars. A good start to our efforts.

This blog will be used for several things. 1. To tell you about Cory. 2. To tell you about Cystic fibrosis and 3. To keep you informed of my training and events ( so you know I am not slacking).

So lets start with the third one today:

The first event is the 5K run. This event is held in Barrington, Illinois. I have ran a few 5K's before but I wanted this one to be my best one yet. Afterall, what a better reason to PR. So I joined a run group at Geneva Running Outfitters. Every Satruday morning (yes, not matter what the temperature or weather), a group of us along with our " coach", train. The group is called "Right Start" and it starts you running and walking and advancing each week. We have had some quite cold runs. I have been trying to make sure that my runs during the week are outside instead of in the comfort of my warm house, on the treadmill while watching TV.

This group has been motivating and encouraging. They inspire me to give it my best and Bills weekly emails keep me going through the week.
